About Pastor Shayne Payne

Shayne Payne is the Founder and Director of Elim Global Missions Initiative (EGMI), a ministry based in New York City that partners with churches, businesses, communities, regions, and nations to help bring about spiritual awakening. EGMI equips those who have been revived through short- and long-term training and challenges believers to discover and pursue both their individual and corporate destinies in God.
Shayne also leads a regional prayer altar and serves as Lead Pastor of Elim Christian Assembly. He speaks locally and internationally on spiritual realities and their influence on people and nations, the principles and practice of effective intercession, the raising and sustaining of personal, regional, and national prayer altars, revival, and community transformation.
Shayne is the author of several books, including Walking with the God of the Bible, Lessons from the Great Intercessors, A Different Vantage Point, Understanding the Grip of Darkness over People and Nations, Covenant, and Commissioned, each exploring themes of covenant, spiritual authority, and the outworking of God’s purposes in individuals and nations.
He holds degrees in Economics, Psychology (B.A.), and Accounting (A.S.), and spent twelve years as a principal in the financial, real estate, and automotive industries before transitioning to pursue his life’s calling.
Shayne and his wife, Wendy, have been married for more than twenty-five years and live in Staten Island, New York, with their three sons.
