A Note from That Kevin

July 25, 2026

One of the greatest joys of travel is discovering places—and experiences—that leave us just a little different than when we arrived. This week’s edition of That Passport Life is filled with exactly those kinds of discoveries.

We’ll journey into the breathtaking Swiss Alps, where summertime transforms snow-covered peaks into emerald meadows, crystal-clear lakes, and storybook villages. It’s one of Europe’s most spectacular seasons, and after reading this feature, you may find yourself moving Switzerland much higher on your travel list.

We’ll also introduce you to Comporta, Portugal—quite possibly the most romantic getaway you’ve never heard of. With pristine Atlantic beaches, quiet luxury, and unforgettable sunsets, it’s the kind of destination where memories are made, whether you’re celebrating an anniversary, planning a proposal, or simply enjoying time together.

Back home in New York City, my family recently experienced something truly special. Our review of AMAZE shares why Jamie Allan’s remarkable production warmed our hearts in a way we never expected. It isn’t simply an evening of incredible illusions; it’s a celebration of family, wonder, and the memories that bind us together. If you’re planning a trip to Manhattan, I can’t recommend it highly enough.

While you’re marking calendars, be sure to circle September 1. Travel Tuesday and Fun Friday are heading to the legendary Mario’s Restaurant on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx—one of America’s most authentic Little Italys. Linda Perillo, Cristyne Nicholas, and I will record special editions of our podcasts, and Linda will be signing copies of her bestselling book throughout the event. We’d love to meet you, share a meal, and celebrate one of New York’s most treasured neighborhoods together.

You may notice a message on our event page indicating that a payment method has been declined. Please disregard it while we work through a temporary processing issue. The event is moving forward as planned, and we’ll have updated registration details available shortly.

You’ll also find us on television this weekend as always: Salem News Channel Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. Eastern, and BizTV Saturday evening at 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Eastern.

Next week, I’ll be away from the microphone for just a few days, but you’re in exceptionally capable hands. Michael Woolworth of Bible League, Patrice Onwuka and Meaghan Mobbs of Independent Women’s Forum, and bestselling author, journalist, and podcaster Bethany Mandel will each bring their unique voices, thoughtful insight, and expertise to the program. I know you’ll enjoy every one of them.

Until we meet again, here’s hoping your journey continues steady, faithful, and true.

Thank you for taking the journey with us.

– It’s That Kevin
