Pastor Michael Basdeo's journey to faith is a powerful testament to the transformative love of Jesus Christ. Born into a devout Hindu family, he spent his early life immersed in traditional religious practices training to be a hindu persist. However, through a life changing encounter
with the gospel, Pastor Michael experienced the undeniable presence of God and surrendered his life to Christ. As a first generation Christian, his conversion marked not only a personal
transformation but also the beginning of a generational legacy of faith.
In 2014, alongside his wife Pastor Joann Basdeo, he co-founded Christ Tabernacle Church on May 20th, with a vision to create a Christ-centered, family-focused, and multicultural
community. Their heart is to reach people from all walks of life with the unchanging truth of God's Word. Pastor Michael is uniquely gifted in communicating the message of Christ with clarity and strategy, making deep biblical truths accessible to all demographics. His dual experience as a successful businessman and educated theologian allows him to connect with both the practical and spiritual needs of his congregation.
A devoted husband and father, Pastor Michael treasures his family life with his wife Joann and their two sons. He is passionate about building strong families and vibrant communities rooted in faith. When he's not preaching or serving, you’ll likely find him enjoying a good game, he’s an
avid sports fan with a love for team spirit both on and off the field.
Pastor Michael continues to lead with vision, integrity, and compassion, driven by a mission to share the hope of Christ with the world.
